Amir Khan's first "Maidana experience": Khan vs Willie Limond

Long before the Prescott, Maidana and Danny Garcia fights -
Check out this fight: Khan gets hurt badly by Limond and fights through and stops him 2 rounds later.
Khan goes down hard in round 6. Link starts at that time mark:

Thanks for the link; I've never seen this.

Limond almost had him. Good round.

Limmond did have have him, check how long the count was!

Career Super Featherweight Michael Gomez also had Khan on the deck.

He doesn't have a great chin but he's still a pretty good fighter. People have high expectations of him because of the hype as well as his big mouth, but he's still capable of being a champion. It's going to be tough though; there's no way he can hang with the punchers of 147, but ****, Matthyse is at 140 and he hits pretty ****ing hard as well.

I'd like to see him fight the winner of Holt-Peterson and rematch Garcia this year; both those fights are completely winnable.

I forgot about that fight. Good round to be honest.

Just shows then that Khan has a lot of heart but man the guys defence back then to now hasn't changed. As soon as he got KO'd by Prescott he should have looked at going to a more defence minded coach who teach him at least the basics of having a good defence. Warning signs were always there.

A rematch against Prescott would be interesting.

Can't see the video because I'm on my phone but if I remember rightly didn't Khan make the slow count then take a knee and the ref told him to get up and didn't give him another count like he should of done? Can't remember exactly, was a long time ago.

Yep, Khan has weak chin, he was born that way it's not his fault.

He also has balls of steel and never looks to take easy fights.

                Boxing needs more Amir Khans!

Amir Khan has a bad chin. Great observational skills there. Just think what will happen if his opponents find out about this?
