So this is all seriously a "since yesterday" development? He didn't give any hint that this might happen on Friday Night Fights?

        Blammo.
Don't know why he waited until after the Matthysse fight to claim he had an injury if he really had one.
        Looked fine on T.V too

I would've loved to have seen Garcia's reaction when he saw that k.o.

Just read this at RINGTV, odd how it's two different injuries.

Danny Garcia suffered a severe thumb injury while sparring that could force him to postpone his Feb. 9 RING/WBA/WBC 140-pound titles defense against Zab Judah, according to Gary Williams of Boxing Along the Beltway blog.

According to Williams, Garcia hurt his thumb while sparring with former 140-pound beltholder DeMarcus Corely.

The rumor that Garcia might have to pull out of the Judah fight, which is to take place at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., was first tweeted by ******.com contributor Mike Coppinger from his personal Twitter account on Saturday night, shortly after junior welterweight contender Lucas Matthysse knocked out Mike Dallas Jr. in one round on Showtime.

There was no mention that Garcia-Judah could be in jeopardy during the Saturday broadcast on Showtime, which is airing the junior welterweight championship and had Judah on as a guest.

A Monday announcement on the matter is expected from Golden Boy Promotions, Garcia's promoter and the lead promoter of the Judah fight.

I dont see why he would avoid a fight with Judah because Lucas won yesterday, If he is injured then they can cancel his fight with Judah, heal and then forget judah and face Lucas.
