You're right, the quickest way for them to build themselves is to fight one another, but most fighters don't like the risk:reward ratio. So, they'll go the route of fighting contenders. Chavez did it and it eventually got him a shot at THE guy. Quillin's resume is so weak that Rubio would indeed be a step-up. It's a guy that he'll most likely beat the hell up and get something nice to show on the highlight reel. My opinion of Quillin will change for the worse if he doesn't fight someone in his tier this year. Like you said, he's in his prime years now, he shouldn't waste them on guys who won't force him to improve his game.
So Glovokin's resume is better? Hussein and Winky are better than the Rosados, Proska, and oumas. Glovokin is in his prime, he's been a pro since 2006, and in 2012 to present he's ready to step up. Oh and He's 30-31, it seems GGG waited until Pavlik, Taylor, & Abraham left the division and wasn't on top. Glovokin deserves criticism too for his lack of competition and just now stepping up, after being a pro for 7years and counting . With over 300 amateur fights

I hold Quillin/Wright in the same regard as I do Canelo/Mosley, very little was earned from beating tremendously faded fighters. GGG's resume isn't much better than Quillin, but that's not the point I'm trying to make. My underlying point: MW isn't reaching its full potential because the top guys aren't fighting each other. The business aspect continues to get in the way of fights that make sense from a competitive/rankings stand-point. Although I don't have issues with the top MWs building themselves up, I believe that there's a more respectable way of doing it. Quillin not fighting another titlist after Guerrero/Rubio is unacceptable. Geale not fighting another titlist after Mundine is unacceptable. Martinez fighting Chavez after Murray is unacceptable. This is partially why Golovkin is getting the ridiculous amount of hype he's currently receiving.

You realize Golovkin was Sturms mandatory for TWO YEARS right? Sturm shamelessly ducked him and the WBA allowed it. He then was supposed to fight Geale but Geale rather be stripped of his belt than fight.

Golovkin was also set to fight Pirog but Pirog injured himself and pulled out. GGG also tried to fight Ndam with no luck.

So how can you criticize Golovkin? Its not his fault these guys didn't fight him.

Further Golovkin is 30. Quillin is 29. Lets not act like Quillin is some young kid he's basically the same damn age.

By the end of 2009, GGG had been a pro for 3-4 years with 17 fights under his belt. Taylor had already been damaged by his losses to Pavlik/Froch/Abraham, and he was no longer at MW. Abraham had also made the move to SMW. Pavlik caught an L to B-Hop and was lined up to fight Martinez in early 2010.

GGG just got his name on the map in 2011, so it seems unrealistic that a guy in his position would've gotten fights with Taylor/Abraham/Pavlik at that time.

He said he wants Martinez the most, ok everyone does, but he goes on to say, incorrectly, that he doesn't want to go after the regular WBA champion in Golovkin. He said if no Martinez then he would want to fight the Super Champion in Geale. The thing is Geale is no longer a WBA champion, he was stripped of that title which now belongs solely to Golovkin. Shouldn't that mean Quillin would want Golovkin?? That was his entire logic.
Quillin also mentions, correctly, that Geale is the IBF champion. I don't see a problem with Pete fighting Dan over GGG, although I'd prefer the latter. As I've said before, if Quillin takes on Golovkin within a reasonable time-frame, it's all good.

I don't support "ducking," but the business aspect of the sport is something we're forced to live with in the real world. Practically all these guys have their vested interests in mind, regardless of what they say. As Chris Rock might put it, "I don't agree, but I understand."

Why would Geale want to fight Quillin though? It's a merry-go-round of ducking! Geale is fighting Anthony Mundine and already said he wants to fight the Sturm/Sam Soliman winner. More money for Geale fighting in Germany/Australia (see how this works?).

Yes, that is the world we live in but that doesn't mean fans should simply lay down and support it and defend this kind of behavior. Fans should constantly hold fighters accountable for their actions. We should constantly demand or at least ask for the best fights. Especially when divisions become a clusterfuck of ducking. Look at 160 pounds and 154 pounds. No one wants to fight anyone.
