Also Toney can hit(not huge hitter but he can **** a bit) and he's a blown up middle and someone mentioned Jimmy Ellis as a light puncher and I have to agree and certainly, he was a cutey.
Now compared to these guys Ali could punch and a whole lot more in his prime, past his prime, and while he had Parkinson's. A great champion despite the overdone hype.
All in all IMO there is nothing worse than watching two guys that just can't punch and on the other hand there is even nothing worse than watching a guy last 1 minute with a puncher.
    the devastation is more entertaining.

for example: which fight would you rather see? byrd vs TOS or brewster vs golota?

Boxing purests would pick Byrd vs TOS all night long.

I don't know I like watching Chris fight...I quess it's the little guy syndrome Byrd has to overcome that makes him interesting.I like Chris Byrd but the Brewster/Golota would keep u on the edge of your seat.Yep, I'd go with the Brewster/Golota if I had to chose.

well ...i have been feeling a little peckish lately. Very astute of u to notice. Thanks for the observation...lol...If that was a jab...ya missed!Brainiac? Wasn't he a Superman's arch enemy in the early sixties?

I don't know everything but I know enough and I truly love the sport as all my sons(and daughter) will tell you ...so don't make it personal. Let's talk the sport, the science, the human drama of boxing.

chris byrd does hit very light, he is merely touching, i bet pacqiao can hit harder than chris byrd.

Byrd may well be the weakest swatter of all the heavy champs in history, but Ruiz would have to be tied with him. Jimmy Ellis would be up there as well, and EzCharles was pretty puny at heavy.
no one said he has held a legit heavy belt, but he is one of the most skilled fighters out threre today
