Comments Thread For: Sulaiman Advises Chavez Jr. To Get a New Trainer

World Boxing Council President Jose Sulaiman has advised former champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. to get a new trainer. Chavez lost a near one-sided twelve round decision to Sergio Martinez in September. He probably lost the first eleven rounds, but managed to badly hurt and then drop Martinez in the final round. Afterwards Chavez tested positive for marijuana and is facing a suspension.

Roach has gotten the most out of Chavez that anyone can possibly get. Chavez has no talent at all and with Roach's guidance has shown improvements

Sulaiman can't seriously think it's the trainers fault and not JR's. JR clearly doesn't wanna train and Freddy shouldn't make him want to. I wouldn't be surprised though Sulaiman is the devil reincarnate.

For real sulaiman seriously? Freddie roach has got to laughing at this manny pacquiao wasn't even in the states when jr. Was "training" for Martinez we all only seen a couple of times this undisciplined man blew off training I mean he came in on weight which is surprising although that was never an issue but still he and sulaiman have nerve man Freddie roach is one of the most dedicated trainers in the sport jr. is the problem we all saw what happened when he met the greatest middleweight in the world can't get away with all that mess when you're training for the best fighter in the division.

Be honest with you I'm surprised Freddie didn't leave mid camp with all the mess he was putting up with I mean the only way you could've excused that behavior was if he had serious family problems but no it was jr. just being undisciplined I guess he truly thought Martinez was too old of a fighter to withstand his attack but that was another thing he didn't even do anything until the twelfth rd. what did he think Martinez was going to fold up after one knockdown? Don't think so.
