I think Austin Trout beats EVERYONE at 154, including Mayweather

His physical dimensions and his tenacity, but they're not enough to beat Floyd. Floyd would out think him and beat him clearly. Trout vs Canelo in May, winner gets Floyd in September. That seems very fair.

I agree that Trout might cause Floyd some trouble early on cause of his size and reach, other than that I think Floyd will find a way midway through the fight and do enough to get by a convincing UD. Stylistically, Trout will pose more problems against Mayweather than Canelo who stands in the middle of the ring with next to no footwork.

Trout is solid but come on son. This division is stacked. Canelo, Lara and Molina all give Trout issues.

People want Floyd to lose. There is always the next guy he is ducking that would beat him to most people out there. There doesn't need to be actual concrete reasons and if it's a guy Floyd obviously isn't going to fight at that point the better, that way they can say he's ducking. I'm not a Floyd fan, but I recognize greatness when I see it.

I'm not sure Canelo beats him, but I would love to see that fight.

Trout is a SPOILER. He is the Vernon Forrest to Floyd or Ginger's - Prime-Sugary-Shane-Mosley. Remember that one? Even if he wins, it will be one of those Winky Vs Tito type of "so what" moments, as he will either flat out dominate them in Boxing or won't. Don't expect a barnburner.

Floyd not facing Trout is justifiable, Canelo not facing Trout is NOT. Floyd facing Canelo is more than justifiable, it's marketable. Canelo facing Floyd is also justifiable, a money fight everyone wants.

Canelo and his team can justify ducking Trout to face Mayweather, the same way Floyd justified turning down Margarito in favor of Delahoya.
