Pacquiao was KO'd early on and was also KO'd recently, so "matured completely" doesn't always apply.

What about when Lewis said he was old and out of shape after struggling with vitali even though he'd been training for a fight with kirk Johnson and had stated in the run up to the fight he wanted at least 3 more fights, (Johnson, vitali, jones jr)

        Lewis was 37, retirement age.

But what about Lewis being like a fine wine? Isn't that what he said after the Tyson fight?

well hes not going to say hes finished on live tv if theres money to be made, is there. That would be like a shop owner bricking up the entrance to his store.

If that's true then how come vitali gets so much **** for 'avoiding' David haye, the perennial ducker even though he's in his 40's

Impossible to say whether he would or would not have been ko'd had he been older. As you pointed out, kicks are much harder than punches.

NOT 'if its true'. It is true. You dont shut up shop on tv, you sell yourself. Everyone takes the opportunity that tv lends you to sell yourself to the world, thats why there are so many adverts on tv.

Vitali should be retired, end of, pretty much so he cant be blamed for wanting to get out before he gets so slow that even his crap choice of opponents will waste him.

Vitali only gets stick for being a hypocrit in slating Lewis for retiring when he got old and not giving him a rematch, yet he does the same to a weaker opponent in Haye, now hes got old.

Because he's the WBC champion. A real champion doesn't duck the fights everyone wants to see.

The fine wine thing means ****

I posted a pre klitshko interview where Lewis said he was 50/50 on retiring and only didn't retire to give klitshko his shot

He gave him his shot, he lost, Lewis retired

Obviously Vitali would have liked Lewis to fight him again and again until he got thewin (and for the huge paydays ) but it doesn't work that way

Vitali is getting **** for the Haye thing because he wouldn't shut up about Lewis retiring, so what goes around comes around

both manny and vitali have great chins. time catches up with everybody.

manny took punishment for years against top fighters. vitali had a long layoff, and he hardly gets hit by some of the shlubs in many of his fights.
