Cano got beat by Morales, Morales lost to Maidana, if you are fond of triangle theories. Besides, Cano did not box his way to knocking down Malignaggi. Maidana would kill either of them.

Cano was too respectful to Morales, plus he was a last minutes stand in. Cano was winning the fight to begin with before the cut, and after the Morales fight, he's only gotten better.

Morales lost to Maidana, but took Maidana to war with 1 eye and pulled a variety of tricks and feints to confuse Maidana. Like one poster said, Maidana is just now learning to use his jab.

Cano vs Maidana would be pretty good. I'd even say its a boxer-puncher vs a puncher-boxer.

Golden Boy doesn't do any favors for Maidana or Matthysse. the only reason GBP has them is to keep them away from their stars.

I'm not saying Paulie is a star but Golden Boy does want to use him and Garica to build the Golden Boy brand on the East Coast. Maidana and Matthysse would derail that train

How about a Pablo Cesar Cano vs Maidana instead.....that would have fireworks written all over.

cano's glass face wouldn't last 3 rounds vs maidana. he swells and cuts too easy. even paulie was able to a number on him. you take a look at most of marcos' previous opponents and you'll see that they all have one thing in common: a busted face.
