how can you call the Judah fight an easy fight? Didnt Judah beat Matthysse?
Yes he did. Even if you thought Lucas won, the fight was damn close. If Lucas had that much trouble in an easy fight (Judah), why is he so good?
Is it because he beat Humberto Soto? Ajose? His supposed win over "No Heart" Alexander? Lets be real here, everyones crowning Matthysse the next best thing since sliced bread with no real merit. Hes good but if Danny is unproven, so is he.

BTW anyone with two eyes, who can judge a fight for themselves can see Danny was winning the 3rd round leading up to the knock down... So what if Danny lost the first 2 rounds... thats 2 rounds out of a possible 12.... not unusual for a fighter who is attempting to counter with slower hands to take time to study and get down the timing of his opponent... Garcias victory was a product of timing, not luck.

Lucas got robbed against both Judah and Alexander. And, if you remember correctly, Devon was the second best Jr. welterweight in the world at that time. So, if everyone who saw the fight knows that he should have won that fight, beating the 2nd best fighter in the division deserves some merit.

I am not crowning Lucas to be a P4P fighter, I know he's one of the best 140 pounders out there and is the MANDATORY for Garcia. So, what is the problem with Lucas asking for his MANDATORY shot?

It seems a lot of people on here don't know as much about boxing as they claim. Danny Garcia's 2012 consisted of him doing everything that was asked of him. He beat morales for the WBC championship, Unified titles beating Amir Khan as a 6 to 1 underdog, then SINCE ERIK MORALES HAD A REMATCH CLAUSE Danny had to grant him his rematch to close the year. Now his first fight of the year he is fighting Zab Judah (the same Judah that has a win disputable or not on his resume over LUCAS, the same Judah who is from Brooklyn where the fight is taking place, the same Judah who has more name recognition to put butts in the seats of the barclays arena). He should fight Lucas in June or July, but assuming peterson makes it past holt, I can't blame him for trying to grab the IBF lightweight title from peterson in July and then fighting Khan in December. This is a business first, and sport second. I can't expect a man to fight someone for 500k (lucas) even though I would enjoy it when he could make 2 million fighting a much easier fight (khan). Half yall dudes on here would quit yall job if they asked you to take a 50 cent pay cut, yall expect a man to take a 1.5 million paycut and work harder for that money by fight Lucas just to please us fans? As much as I would enjoy it, I couldn't expect something of a man that I wouldn't do. Thats just me though....

Especially after his last fight was with Erik morales. Clause or not. Who's he gonna fight next? Mayorga? Mosley? How about Ricky Hatton..

bottom line is zab isnt a worthy opponent,lets be fair though garcia isnt the only champ taking an easy fight

You are right, but that doesn't erase the fact that Morales was shot and a gimme, and that Zab Judah is another easy fight for Garcia. I don't care what the record says, Lucas won that fight against Zab.

I understand Garcia would want to avoid Lucas, but lets call it for what it is; it's avoiding a fighter. Not saying he's scared, just that they want to milk the cow for as long as they can.

And Al Haymon, the worst person in the boxing business for boxing fans, will do whatever it takes to put Garcia in mismatches while HBO subscribers who pay that extra amount of money to see quality fights get ESPN2 type fights.
