Dude that is exactly what happened in that fight Chop Chop got Pop Popped over and over all thru the match with PBF's biggest punches and got dropped like what 4 times or some **** like that! I would really hate to see what has to happen to a fighter in a bout for you to say they took a beating. If in fact Cotto and Chop square off I think it will end by the 10th rd. with Cotto winning via Ko/Tko from a all out body assault, Chop may or may not be a finished fighter but I think right now what he needs most is a boost in his confidence in his abilities. Wrong fight to take to accomplish that imo!
I know that Floyd dominated him and probally won every round. He went down twice. My point is though that he wasnt brutally beaten like X did Tito. Floyd doesnt have dynamite in his hands and Chop wasnt bruised up or viciously knocked out so thats what I meant. Chop's confidence isnt lacking. He thinks he almost knocked out maybe the best #for# fighter in the world. Chop doesnt think that just because he lost to a world class fighter doesnt mean that Cotto will beat him. He hasnt faught anyone better then Chop and he's a lefty. Chop thinks he can easily beat Cotto and I think he has a good chance

Well, I don't know if he will beat Cotto, but he's top 6 at 140 in my book easy.

I personally don't understand why boxing fans are so fickle that when a good fighter like corley loses two fights to 2 of the best guys out there, all of the sudden, he's "done"
I say Cotto by stoppage late in the fight or by u decision, but only because i think corley should take a tune up fight or 2 before he fights somebody of Cotto's skill

I agree chop chop is a great oppenent for Cotto. He is far from done and if Cotto wins in impressive fashion it will only be a matter of time before he climbs to the top. First he will get rid of gatti, then we will see what he is really made of against PBF.

Floyd will get the Gatti fight first

I don't think Gatti's people will have him fight Cotto anytime soon.
Cotto is not a big enough draw right now in the mainstream, considering how good he is.

The fair-weather boxing fan who buys ppvs isn't going to know who cotto is until he beats somebody top 3... Gatti's handlers are smart. Mayweather would be a much better fight for him, and I think it'll happen this year.

Top 6 huh, wow just a quick ? for ya, who exactly has Chop Chop beaten to rank at #6 in you book? And also who do you bump down in favor of Chop Chop? The rest of your post I agree wholeheartidly(sp?) with. I've never been a Corley hater or a hugger always thought he's a real tuff journeyman stepping-stone type fighter whose biggest win was a snoozefest showdown with Randall Bailey who also appears to have been a pretender instead of contender!

Actually, let me reitterate (sp?).. Corley isn't top 6.. I actually just made a thread where I ranked him #8, which is about right...
I took a good look at the division, and considering every body else, he's at about 8, give or take.
                  Sorry

Yea I just saw your thread sorry . This div. is weird cause it seems so deep yet when you look closely it's almost top heavey and shallow. Alot of unproven prospects at this weight, But man think if Chico, Castillo, Judah, Spinks, Freitas, Casamayor, Juan Diaz, Tackie, Kermit Cintron and a few others were to all have a go at a catch- weight of say 143 3/4 lbs. Oh **** that would be heaven!!!!!

He's in the top 5 easily if you ask me.
