Exactly this. Plus Shane was too damned strong on the inside for Margarito. Not many people have been able to deal with Shane on the inside. Not even Wright or Oscar, they both had to box from a distance.

He was psychologically fu(ked for that as he got caught with loaded gloves just b4 the fight and he new he was going to be facing consequences after it....his head wasn't there for that fight at all...

Most likely this. Head wasn't there due to the discovery of plaster of paris found in his wraps. That's going to throw you off mentally IMO as you're going to be petrified of the aftermath.

Still, Mosley was on his game that night. He was fighting mean and wanted to really hurt Margarito.
