As far as I'm aware when Mayweather fight's in May it's announced in mid-late January.

All I know is that he's fighting PAC-BOY May 4th, on a non televised match. PAC-BOY signed as soon as he was guaranteed a pair of Manny Pacquiao Nike's, signed by Floyd Mayweather Jr. The fight is scheduled for one 2-minute round.

Floyd hates when other fighters make huge amounts money off his name. I bet he will demand a very high share of the purse to fight Canelo because you have an unproven fighter who hasn't beaten anyone getting a record payday off his name. I can't see how he would be cool with that.

I wouldn't be surprised if this was it.

In my opinion, they know Canelo has to beat someone credible to make a potential May-Nelo fight super big. Putting two important fights on the same card (Mayweather vs anybody and Trout vs Canelo) can lengthen the process of making the fight.

Trout will upset Canelo though. Let's just hope he doesn't get robbed
