and Cotto struggled pretty badly with Shane as well. A lot actually had Shane winning that one too.

The thing that people fail to bring up about 2006-2008 WWs, is that none of these guys really made a claim to the WW throne, there wasn't one fighter there that put up any consistency in their wins. They were all beating eachother. Williams beats Matthysse in a slug fest, Cintron beats Matthysse, Margarito beats Cintron, Cotto beats Quintana, Cotto beat Mosley[barely], Williams beat Margarito[Also 'barely' in some people eyes], Quintana beats Williams, Williams beats Quintana, Margarito beats Cotto, [Williams calls out Margarito for a rematch, Margarito declines and chooses Mosley, Williams goes up to 160] Mosley beats Margarito, Pacquiao beats Cotto.

The last man standing, who really made a mark, was Shane Mosley, and that is who Mayweather fought. Mayweather tried to make the Pacquiao fight, but Pacquiao backed off. Mayweathers choices in 2010 were Pacquiao and Mosley, the two beat options at the time, people forget that Floyd wanted those two and only those two. He tried to make the fight and it is pretty publicized that Pacquiao simply said no to the 15 day cut off that he asked for, once it was granted to him. Pacquiao said no, and that is where that argument ends. Mayweather went with the lineal champion Shane Mosley instead, who was claimed by fans as being avoided by both Mayweather and Pacquiao.

yeah but didn't you know, all of that was Floyd's fault!

New year, same puga. Figured I'd give the thread a chance to see if he had become a boxing fan during his time away. Guess not.

Your boy is good avoiding dangerous opponents but smart enough to let them fought one another while watching from a safe distance.
Floyd wouldnt do well in a super 6 tournament so isnt a fighter really. He needs more preperation than other fighters.

If he was in a super 6 tournie and won one fight against Ward he would refuse to fight Froch, Dirrell, and all the others claiming Ward is the best. But in reality that is only 3 points.

He doesn't belong in the conversation. After his win over Cotto his fights took a harsh nosedive.
