I already knew and understood the whole "you're not Mexican unless you were born in Mexico" mentality. It is what it is. Nothing I can say can change it, that's for sure. But you inadvertently pointed out something very insightful: hate is taught. I know you don't actually "hate" Mikey, but you'll root against him merely for the fact that there's a "true" Mexican fighting him, and that's simply how you were raised. People will even draw lines between what towns these guys are from. Like I said before, people (and I mean everyone) will always seek ways to oppose each other.

I'd like to pick a flaw out in your reply, but you nailed it. I don't hate Mikey, but I want the guy from my country to win (tho In my defense at least, my favorite boxer ever is the Body Snatcher).

Mexicans are proud people my man, we view Mexican-Americans as Americans really. I know it's well, probably wrong to do, but it's just a mentality that most of us are taught and it sticks with us.

I don't view Mikey as a Mexican, but as an American (after all, he was born and raised over there), and I'm rooting for Salido.

Wtf?, I do not know what part of Mexico are you from but around here mexicans born is usa are treated as mexicans, probably even better.

My main problem with Danny Garcia is that he never repped the PR flag and now all of the sudden he's giving shout out to latinos.
