  • The truth about Scott Gilfoid and BN24

Well firstly, as some of you have already pointed out – he doesn’t exist. It’s a made up name.

The articles are purposely written to slay any British fighter, regardless. This is done in order to drive web traffic directly through BN24 (you’ll notice it’s littered with advertisement) and then the resulting revenue stream is used to part-fund the costs associated with running ESB.

I applaud the use of one site to help keep another buoyant, but the fact it makes a joke out of some great fighters, and a countries fighting history is deplorable. This coming from the chief editors of a great source site such as ESB really should know better. Why would boxing aficionados cheapen the sport they love? Bizarre tactic, made all the worse as it’s as transparent as glass.

Am sure it give a fair few of you a giggle now and again, but whilst it help funds ESB it also helps to degrade it. The resulting factor being more and more people using sites such as BS as their regular source of all things boxing and abandoning ESB in their droves.

I guess the last laugh is on us.

Most of the contributors or morons on that site. It's hands down the worst boxing news site out there.

All of the writers on there are actually Eddy Pronishev and David Rosenberg of ESB. They even changed ESB to look exactly like their other site. They even started writing the same articles, almost word for word, under a variety of fake names on ESB like Michael Collins.

Gilfoid, Williams, Mckay, Ambrose are all one and the same. They fabricate quotes, create fake news and even post material that is months old. I saw something they posted last week from David Price, using quotes from September of last year and passing it off as new.

At least their forums are like their website, sources non-existent.
You could say Floyd was fighting Willie Pep and everybody would believe it

                    I agree.

When I first heard of this site, I thought it was just another boxingscene rip off site where they get news from random "sources", the news just so happened to appear the same time it did on boxingscene. So I didn't think much of it, until I heard others constantly referencing the site, in particularly the articles.

I soon realized the purpose of the site was to create traffic by posting controversial, and completely one-sided 'fanboy' articles.

What made me even more su****ious of the site was that the articles are written by essentially anonymous writers. Sure they have their names posted, but if you try a quick search you can't find anything about them. What their history is, their education etc. At least the boxingscene writers have twitter accounts. These guys are completely anonymous. That crushes their credibility imo.

The articles, my goodness, are so incredibly biased. If you've ever read a 'Chris Williams' article you know it's completely anti-Pacquiao, pro- Mayweather. His articles get the most comments due to the controversial nature of them. His articles are about 3-4 fighters. He either talks about Pacquiao, Donaire and Mayweather. Sometimes he'll talk about Bradley.

'Scott Gilfoid' is another of these anonymous posters that you can tell what his articles are about.

It's a site that lacks credibility, and It shouldn't be taken seriously or referenced in the future.
