I can't get how people can be in such denial like I see with Rios-Abril, I have zero stake in either fighters, I have never seen Abril fight before this fight and am more of a Bam Bam fan than Abril, having said all of that Bam Bam got his a*s schooled, He was clueless in there and had difficulties touching Abril like he does all his previous opponents, I don't give a toss if Abril is accused of hugging because I didn't see excessive hugging, I see a fighter tying up Bam bam and then letting his hands go by smashing Bam Bam face, at the end of the day Rios got the 'W' so that's all that counts but no need for people to cry about it because you don't see things Bam Bam's way.

Nah. That's a silly assumption. No one is protecting Rios. Marquez wanted none of him; Gamboa called him out only to duck him at the last minute. They're scared of the guy. Rios accepted Abril's challenge only to stink up the place with his boring style.

Arum won't put Rios in the ring with Abril again, the fight was a case of ''Cherry picking gone wrong'' at its finest. Abril picked him apart and made him look like a club class fighter, what annoys me most about that decision is the bad example it sets.

If you're a hype job there is little reason to push yourself to the next level and take training seriously as you will escape with a W even after losing 12 rounds. If you're a fighter people sleep on there is no incentive to try and make it to the top as you will get robbed. Abril is actually in a worse position now as people see him as high risk low reward; that essentially encourages up and coming boxers to not fight their fight and take a beating so that they can make some hype job look good in return for a pay check.
