Vitali would have been a fool to waste his time with Haye.
nearly every boxer sustains injuries and has to postpone fights at some points during their career.. I could name plenty of boxers off the top of my head.

but for an example close to home, both the Klitschkos have "backed out" of fights numerous times too so your argument here is ultimately self-defeating.

the simple fact is that Vitali knew Haye could have beaten him at this stage of his career and he just didn't want to risk that happening so he retired.

So you're saying that justifies Vitali backing out of the Haye fight later on after he said he'd fight the winner of Haye vs Chisora but ended being a proven liar?

Vitali ran from Haye after Haye knocked Chisora out.. Right at the end of his career (and a few times during his career i.e. Chris Byrd fight) Vitali showed his true colors as a coward. he'll always be remembered as the man who ducked David Haye.
        Atrocious refereeing?

I think you will find that Manuel Charr scared Vitali into retirement. Haye, too, got scared when he saw Diamond Boy's skills.

what has that got to do with Vitali ducking Haye after he had claimed he would fight the winner of Haye vs Chisora. That's after Haye went to Vitali's press conf and called him out to his face.. lol

Vitali didn't want anything thing to do with Haye after he saw what happened to Chisora.. you know that as well as I do but you can't bring yourself to admit it. Haye did something to Chisora that Vitali never came close to doing and that's when Vitali knew that Haye was a serious threat to him because he saw what he was capable of doing against a common opponent.

love how the poll says that Valuev lost to Holyfield... if you go by this sort of theory do you admit that Wlad lost against povetkin via disqualification?

                  Stop spouting this rubbish.

Manuel 'Diamond Boy' Charr scared Vitali into retirement. Vitali's shady doctor robbed Charr of a KO win.

Haye, too, got scared when he saw the awesome power and ability of the true WBC champ.

Vye do you like Haye but hate Wladimir, Herr Landa?

nothing matters... the actualy outcome of the fight would have been a disqualification if the ref did his job proper and if the ref was stern enough with warnings about holding and wrestling then perhaps it would have played out differently
