As to the rest of your post, I will repeat myself. This is pro boxing, not amatuers. The networks, advertisers, and casinos are not in this for compettiton they are in it for ratings. SInce Canelo has a huge fanbase that will pay to watch Canelo-he has "earned" a fight with the sports top dog. Why?

Because all of the en****** that profit would rather invest their money in a floyd/canelo fight than a floyd/trout fight because they believe (as do I) that it will yield a higher return on their investment.

As a fan the fight is not great on paper. There are better 154 lbers than Canelo who have beaten better opponenets who should be getting a title shot or a unification ahead of Canelo.

There is a reason its called "prize fighting" and not "fighting prize". Same way America is a "capitalistic democracy" and not "********ic capitalism." You may not agre but I hope you understand.
Canelo hasn't earned a damn thing when it comes to a fight with PBF. Canelo because of all you stated is being "GIVEN/GIFTED" a possible fight with PBF. Dunn I get what you saying but earned is the wrong word to use in this case.

At this point my money would be on Canelo. History has shown that a guys who goes to sleep is bound to sleep again or atleast be brutally beaten at some point once they hit that age barrier. Roy, Norris. Im sure theres more but those were dominant guys. Canelo hit very hard.

in your opinion! id still say pacquiao is to be honest. i think guerrero would cause floyd some problems. wouldnt expect him to win tho! and to be honest, guerrero was very dirty against berto, he wont get away with that against floyd.

Listen the Ghost proved to be a hellova inside fighter. He won't be able to hit & hold sure, but he has shown his ability to work inside. And he's spent his career showing his outside game. He's young, obviously strong, he's got good handspeed, good pop & good stamina. The Ghost poses more of a threat than Pacman right now.

Pacman's been slowing down in every fight. He just got slept. His confidence has got to be rattled & he needs a tune up. The ship has sailed on this match. TBH I don't even think Pacman can beat the Ghost head to head right now.

From a purely boxing perspective, I agree.

From a "prize fighting" perspective Canelo right now is p4p* (where p stands for prize) #5 behind floyd, manny, cotto, and chavez jr.

guerrero has proved a bit, made me take note when he beat katsidis the way he did. i think he is more dirty than he is great on the inside if im honest. i still disagree, i think pacquiao poses more of a threat still, even if he has been slowing down recently. pacquiao still has more speed and power than guerrero.

i do agree however that the ship has sailed regarding may/pac.

Seeing PBF over the years do you really think Guerrero would want to fight dirty against PBF? PBF is real good with those elbows and forearms. Forget about the ref people think PBF soft cause of his style but the man in ring doesn't shy away from getting down and dirty. IMO Berto was just being a sucka and a punk in that fight and letting Guerrero have his way with him and doing nothing about it. Guerrero basically took Berto lunch money without a fight!

The bold can't be based off the Berto fight?

ghost moves up and beats 2 legit ww's his last 2 fights. Manny loses both his last 2 fights against jww's moving up, one by brutal KO.

From a purely boxing/competition perspective, wouldn't ghost deserve the fight more than manny?

My point has nothing to do with what Canelo brings to the table money wise cause he has a fanbase and following. But to use the word "EARNED" when discussing a fight between him and PBF is just not right/ 100% wrong. Based on money Canelo is being "GIVEN/GIFTED" a possible fight against PBF.
