even if they aren't going to be taking turn hitting each other in the head i think it's an important fight to watch. i wish people weren't so unappreciative.

jones tries a lot harder than tyson does, which isn't saying a lot i admit. but these guys are both living legends and i think they deserve a little bit of respect

I feel the fight is going to be VERY tactical untill the fourth or fifth round. Both fighter have fought each other and pretty much seen each other fight through the years so unless one or the other brings some new tricks to the table they know eatch other in and out.

I'm sure it will start to open up in the mid to late round, but Jones will win by UD.

          It's not ignorance, it's a fact..

Also, for the people that bring up tactical..
Jones's last fight was NOT tactical at all, it was Roy just being scared...

            hmm

Um, no, it's not a fact. It's an opinion, and a pretty idiotic one at that. HBO didn't beat Virgil Hill with a one punch KO. HBO didn't lose 18 lbs of muscle and beat Tarver. HBO didn't embarrass Ruiz like no one has since Tua. HBO didn't beat Bernard Hopkins and James Toney. HBO didn't destroy Merq Sosa, Clinton Woods, Montell Griffin, or Reggie Johnson.

            Roy Jones did.

It's a fact that HBO made Roy what he is and he's a fraud? Please. I'll allow anybody to believe RJJ is overrated, and overhyped, and even protected. But to call him a fraud is a joke. The guy killed in the ring and was one of the most dominating preformers of the last decade.

He's not a fraud, he was probably the most talented fight ever but he wasn't willing to take a risk and test his chin, possibly because I heard Mclellan really chin checked him in the amateurs.

I'll be the first to say RJJ didn't take all the fights he should have, all the fights that would have shut all the haters up indefinately. If you think about it though... can you count on your fingers the fighters that haven't at least ducked one or two opponents in their careers?

Sometimes in the game of boxing it's more about politics than the fans. If it wasn't then alot more international fights would be made. Risk is undoubtably the greatest mark of a great fighter, however sometimes a risk can topple a great career before it's even started.

You have to look at things from both sides. The boxing fan AND the boxer.

There is no doubt that RJJ is one of the greatest fighters of all time, doubters or not. He WILL be in the Hall of Fame and he will be remembered by many as one of the lb4lb greatest fighters of all time.

Taking this fight and winning it will cement that. For either fighter really. They're both Hall of Famers and this fight simply puts an exclamtion point on ones career.

Case in point: Ali came back from retirement and lost nearly all of his comeback fights, but who remembers that really?

Dirt E Gomez (to whom I recently sent good K) and Superlightweight (the board's most appropriate username) BOTH sent me bad K .....for sending another poster good K.
