    hmm

    1) Tarver was as much to blame for fight 3 beng boring as Roy.

    2) Tarver III as a fight does not define Roy's career by any means, and neither will this upcoming fight with Bernard.

I'm watching this fight because someone else is paying for it, and Roy has a good chance to win. I also predict the fight to be somewhat boring.

You are right in the sense that Tarver III did not define Roy's career.

Roy's career however was defined by HBO, and He was a fraud.

      Cheers.

I think people are being too down on this fight, and what it can potentially be. Would this have been a much better fight years ago? ****ing A right it would... but this poses a different style.

Styles make fight. Hopkins last 2 fights were against a stronger, younger opponent who was also too defensively minded and seldomly threw. Jones was fighting a much stronger fighter whose style dominated his own.

I expect this fight to have more action than people think. I think Jones is going to be more agressive in the early rounds while hopkins is trying to counter and move around. In the later rounds it will reverse with RJJ using his speed to dodge and counter while Hopkins is using his accuracy to move forward and land something meaningful.

Granted, I'm not saying this is going to be a great fight, and these are merely speculations from all of us at this point, but I don't think it'll be nearly as bad as many are making it out to be.

Roy Jones style also dominates him and if a true middleweight is that much stronger then him, then so will Roy Jones Jr by a lot because he is way more adjusted to that weight.

And why do you think all of a sudden Jones Jr is going to be aggressive in the early rounds when he is probably the most gunshy big fighter out there. You're logic is full of flaws man.

The part you bolded I actually typed wrong. That was meant to say Jones, not Hopkins. Jones style would never dominate the now much more defense minded Hopkins. Hopkins 5 years ago had a chance at beating a prime RJJ in my eyes due to his counterpunching ability and strong defense.

Hopkins can control his weight very easily I believe, which is why he's been at Middleweight so easily throughout his career. I don't believe adding some extra weight will actually be too tough for him. Also, Jones wont be gunshy against a Hopkins whose normal fighting weight is lower than this, as well as knowing Hopkins wont be to agressive. Add this to the fact that perhaps RJJ wants to go out with a ****, and I don't think it's too far out to think. Granted, it might be a little bit of wishful thinking, but a guy can hope.

All I know is, I aint paying for this and I'm not going to believe any of the hype because Jones Jr actually had me convinced he was going to embarass Tarver.

It requires a high level of ignorance and hate to make a statement like this.

You've never watched boxing. Go home and wipe yourself up, and plase do quit while you're behind.
