Mosely was past it when he faced Mayweather and was coming off a 16 month lay-off. I dont recall anyone giving him a chance in hell of winning.
In answer to the Original posters question, yes Mosely will go down as a HOF'er and Mayweather will have a win over him. Creditable win...not particularly. A win over prime Mosely would of been a whole different story but it wasn't prime Mosely..it was a version of Mosely that never won a fight again and drew with Sergio Mora.

You don't need to be a Great Fighter to be inducted. You do need to be honest fighter meaning you try and your in good condition all the time and the fans enjoy because they know you come to fight! You need to win against quality opponents and have longevity and activity on your record!

Its an honor to be a HoF boxer but it doesn't mean your an automatic ATG!
On that list I think Shane & Juan are ATG but Floyd didn't fight "quality" Shane and Juan fought out of the weight class where he will be remembered as a ATG!

Strike Three on this Topic, Floyd falls short again. Nice try! Ray.

No, not at all. Mayweather was odds on at all bookmakers and was predicted by all media-Boxing out-lets ect to win a comfortable UD.
Mosely was given a punchers-chance..out-side of a possible Boxingscene Poll posted by a Mosely fan; no one was picking him to win.

People want to say ok to Hatton but not Judah?

Both failed when it came time to step up. Judah just keeps failing but gets title shot after title shot while Hatton went full ****** after his date with that turn buckle years ago. He never recovered and it didn't help when he fired his entire team because of his mental issues and possible drug and alcohol use. Let alone losing for the first time in his career.

Make it easy and just say any fighter that lost to Floyd shouldn’t make it. That makes sense as everyone he fights is either too young, too old, too big, or too little. So none of them make it because I've seen excuses as to why they all lost or shouldn't have had the fight at that exact time.

Do we need to bump the threads where there dozens and dozens of people saying Floyd needed to fight Mosley or retire???

Do we need to post interviews from Roach and Arum saying Floyd would duck Mosley because he was too dangerous.

Do we need to post thee threads about how Mosley made Floyd s**t his pants after the Marquez fight.

That was a legit win, and it was at a time Manny P wanted nothing to do with Msoely.

You could throw Oscar in there too, and who the hell was Floyd supposed to fight in June 2005, with Tszyu-Hatton being his target for that fall, other than Gatti???
