There's a thinly veiled insult to JMM by the WBC. Its no secret Saluiman doesn't like JMM, and since JMM won the WBO Fighter of the Decade trophy, Saluiman gives the WBC Fighter of the Decade to Manny.

Given that the word used in the first sentence is "advised" it sounds like the WBC gave a statement to Boxingscene, so it doesn't sound like the reporters went to Sulaiman; Sulaiman went to Boxingscene.
