how many pay per view fighters are out there? to even bring up ppv is stupid at this point! Ward sells way more than a couple thousand seats at the oracle, do you really think a gold medal olympian who used to travel abroad to fight for free, will turn down a chance to make 2 - 3 x's more money on the road with 20,000 + exposure ? See you have to look at the whole package, he has a very smart team, and he is a very smart individual in and out of the ring, everyone is in it for the $ because this is their profession, like its a conspiracy or something on why he gets most of his fights in Oakland CA- the comments I see are coming from emotion and no thought.

Rosado appears to be coming into his own as of late. Don't look at his losses too much. He might provide a tough fight for Golovkin, but he will have to fight smart.

I mean smart in the way of learning to tie up when stunned instead of keep throwing. He was not badly hurt against Angulo (even when stopped), but just fought dumb and let Angulo touch him with more leather than he should have and he hit the canvas too often. If he corrected those mistakes he should provide Golovkin a decent fight. He has some sneaky uppercuts that could make it interesting.

Rosado is a solid fighter with good boxing skills, solid defence(good head movement) and a bit of heart.

However I fear it quite frankly won't be enough and Golovkin will just walk him down over the course. It's obvious that Rosado probably doesn't throw hard enough regularly to discourage Golovkin so he's going to have to move a lot more than he's used to and use his reach advantage. Don't see it happening, he gets caught center ring while throwing and is stopped before Round 6.

As you have commented it will have to be a picture perfect fight from Rosado for him to stand a chance.

When you watch Golovkins power shots, he picks them excellently, it's clear there's little wildness in his attack. He's a surgeon which is why I pick him to counter Rosado into a KO, rather than punish him into one.

You just have to look at his record and where the fights took place. You opened yourself up for this with your own post comparing Ward to Mayweather saying that if "you put the money on the table" Ward would fight somewhere else and that Floyd is the #1P4P fighter in the sport fighting down the road from his house all the time in Vegas, you referenced Ward's #3p4p status immediately after that.

I responded with facts that he would indeed make a lot more money fighting Kessler in Denmark or Froch in England where they have TONS of fans and can generate much more revenue than Ward can fighting at Oracle arena. Why do you think all these HW's fight the Klitschkos in Russia or Germany instead of in their own countries?

There is a reason most major fights take place in Vegas. Why do you think Floyd lives down the street from the MGM in the first place? Floyd is on a different level in terms of profitability, he is a PPV star...those are the fights that generate money. Vegas is a PPV mecca, that's why Floyd lives in Vegas, he makes money, the casinos make money, the escorts make money, the bars make money, the cabbies make money, and no tax on top.

Ward may be considered #3P4P by some people but equating his P4P status to Floyd's and his choice to fight in his hometown is crazy. Floyd would sell fighting in Florida or Texas too, just as he does in Vegas, but Ward won't sell anywhere besides the Oracle - that's the difference.

See for yourself - This is an article about Ward's fight with Dawson, probably one of the top 2 biggest fights of Ward's career and most recent fight.

"The card entitled, “WARD-DAWSON WORLD CHAMPIONS-MADE IN AMERICA”, before an announced paid attendance of 8,500 appreciative fans, was presented by Goossen Tutor Promotions in association with Gary Shaw Promotions, Antonio Leonard Productions and SOG Promotions."

So that's 8,500 seats sold in an arena that you yourself admit he sells way more than a few thousand seats at......in his own hometown? Just making sure I have my FACTS straight.

              Rosado

I saw Rosado here @ Sands Casino live and he showed some balls during his fight. I still see him as a B+ fighter but gaining momentum and if he makes it to the later rounds I see him possibly winning this one around the 8-9 round by tko. Time for Rosado to shine and make a true name for himself.

Cant wait to see this fight!

              Good luck Rosado.

Interesting article I read about how Hopkins has been kinda mentoring Rosado a bit. Rosado was saying how much he's learned from Hopkins and how things make sense now. Like he really understand the game. We'll see how he looks against a beast like Golovkin, but his confidence seems to be 100% there and that's where it starts. I won't be surprised to see Rosado give GGG some problems for a while. Don't think he can last a full 12 though.
