There were some great fights in 2012.

Thanks for the memory from 1982. Though Chacon/Limon and Pryor/Arguello were deserving, I also remember thinking Wilfredo Gomez/Lupe Pintor was my favorite for that year.

Viloria vs Marquez should have gotten the not, and its not even really close.

Its a shame to once again see the little guys discriminated against, and not even mentioned till the bottom of the honorable mention.

Dude, all the honorable mentions were in chronological order, thus the dates. As to that fight, I wouldn't have voted it over Gonzalez. I thought the Roman fight was even better.

This really was a great fight, with one of the most shocking endings I've ever seen. Maybe the most shocking.

I don't think that Marquez-Pacquiao IV had more action than Rios-Alvarado. Rios-Alvarado had more heated exchanges than Marquez-Pac IV. I think Marquez-Pac IV got the nod just because it ended by a punch that nobody thought it would come, even more surprising because it was Pac on the losing end, and for that part, that should be KO of the year. Too bad it was the most recent big fight, while Rios-Alvarado was earlier on the year. Not saying that Marquez-Pac IV wasn't an action packed fight, it was just that Rios-Alvarado was a phonebooth war!

Marquez Pacquiao IV is deservingly foty. But I thought Rodrigo Guerrero vs Sebastien Gauthier was as good if not better than Rios vs Alvarado and better than all the honorable mentions.

                Did anyone see that fight?
