Yeah Don King would be great for the sport of boxing if he could have a revival. I guarantee you there would be a much easier time getting marquee fights made cause Don King is about his paper.

Plus he'd bring another personality and always brings attention to the sport, you can make a case that he's probably the most famous non-fighter personality in boxing history. We need that brother with the wild hair and weird English back in the game

Don King's time has passed now.

but he use to run shyt when boxing still mattered..

Don was the very definition of black Jesus..

the issue was Black Jesus had two sides.. He had the gentle side when he showers you with his love, but he also had the ruthless side.

Lennox Lewis learned about just how evil Don could be.

Lennox Lewis split from Don King and unlike Tyson , Lewis is still rich and happy. The side effects of this split is obviously

      1-Draw against Holyfield
      2-KTFO against Rahman
3- Knocked out (Controversial) against Mccall.

Don King was to blame for both of Lewis's losses... If he had play the good house boy like Tyson did. he would have been undefeated, and Bowe.Tyson would have been fed to Lennox in the 90's.....

But Lennox stood for principle, justice, honor, and humanity. Lennox rather be knocked out than continue in that cess pool of corruption which surrounded Don King.

Lewis sacrificed his very health for honor and righteousness and should damn well be applauded for it.

I salute you Lennox. We will never see a champion like you again.

Lennox is far too old now though lol.. The only version of Lewis I would have considered was the guy who fought Tommy Morrison.. That was when he was pretty cute.

lennox admitted years ago that mccall caught him with a good right & he admitted to taking rahman lightly & showed up 10 days before his fight in south africa(huge altitude change)after filming ocean's 11 or 12 & partied & mingled with celebrities while rahman was there for 3 months training. don king had nothing to do with his losses. i think he stayed clear of king as his promoter but he was holyfield's promoter for the first lewis fight & lennox refused to get bullied into a don king contract. right before the holyfield\lennox fight king tried to get lennox to sign with him but he refused then the draw happened. after the rahman fight lennox went to court to immediately invoke his rematch clause before don king could get his hands in there before he got his rematch. if king won the court battle lennox wouldn't have got the rematch. king promoted several fighters lennox fought but he generally stayed clear of him. he promoted only a couple of his fights.

I mean, the man made a middleweight tournament for god's sake. Us fans would win..the fighters, not so much though. But hey, we're always complaining on the forums of ducking, fights not being made, etc. Don King would use his iron snake fist and prevent that BS from happening. Just saying.
No thanks Don King was a thief always stole from the boxers
