    Martinez

would have done wonders for him had he got the chance to fight Bute

Martinez in 2 rounds. Once Martinez pops him and sees Bute back off he will come in for the power to test him and Bute will fold.

Despite the size advantage I think Sergio creams him. As soon as Sergio seen him react badly he'd be all over him and break him down.

Utterly convinced Bute has tools but is a fighter who reacts horrifically to being hit and almost curls up in a ball. You can't show any signs of weakness and definitely can't afford to mentally cave against a fighter like Sergio.

I just may pick Bute, his power would be devastating to a guy like Martinez and he's got the speed to land his shots. Martinez doesnt have enough power to hurt Bute, at least I don't think so. He was really gun shy and looked scared against his last opponent, but against a small guy like Martinez I'd think he'd be very confident.

Grachev is no bigger than Sergio, has no jab and very slow feet. Hes a 1-dimensional tough brawler who if anything could make middleweight.

Sorry just can't place any stock in that fight myself. If anything that fight makes me feel even more confident in Sergio winning. If a 1-D brawler can take his strongest assets away like that, the hell would Sergio do?

Always felt Bute only had a flicking jab with a nice uppercut and not much else tbh
He draws/pulls guys in and has no plan B/C/D
Just can't see a technician like Sergio not adapting/seeing that. He is a one trick pony looking for one shot.

I think Sergios chin is good enough to withstand Bute's shots (not as good as Froch..but Martinez doesnt need to)....which basically means Bute is in trouble.... I think that although Froch is probably the harder hitter overall (stronger, too), Martinez has that snap/pop to his punches that just sticks with you (kind of like Pac). These bigger guys just immediately stop when hit and Bute is like boxings Brock Lesnar... World level talent...but everyone has a plan til they get punched in the face... Bute embodies that. Still though... Bute CAN crack and hes not exactly on the smaller end of 168... Sure, Chavez is a bull who has developed quite the left hook but Bute has good timing and power... I really think Martinez can take them...but you never know. Bute has skills as much as I give him s hit an martinez isn't a physically imposing fighter.. Hell, call me crazy but Bute gives Ward a better fight than Froch...just styles wise imo.

Anyway dont underestimate the difference in speed. Serg is ine of the faster guys within 3 divisions and his feet are amazing. Bute has been able to catch these 168 guys with counter shots... But is bute good enough to counter Martinez...is he physically fast enough and does he have the hart to eat lefts to get his timing down? One thing is countering Glenn.... Another is Martinez.

Martinez' killer instinct would have Bute catching a KD in 3 rounds.

bute has already been exposed, he has zero footwork or enough head movement. we might see a replay of martinez-chavez, jr. but with ko somewhere in the middle rounds
