AMIR KHAN says he still has star quality. Bolton’s former world light-welterweight champion is back in the mix after stopping unbeaten Carlos Molina on December 15th in Los Angeles. Khan, 26, still has over 1.2million Twitter followers and claims he is even more popular since his controversial points defeat to Lamont Peterson a year ago and fourth-round stoppage loss to Danny Garcia in July.

There has also been controversy outside the ring for Khan and his fiancée Faryal Makhdoom to deal with, with regular updates about his private life in the media.

Amir Khan is much watch boxing period. You either see Khan letting go with all his blazing handspeed, or someone with decent power putting his lights out. Much watch boxing right there.

        There's only one Amir Khan!!

The only thing he has lost are believers. People that believed he would be a great fighter one day. But, I'm sure everyone that sees him and recognizes him, still flock around him to get his autograph. I doubt he has noticed any decline in popularity among people in public. There's no reason not to like him, he always gives his all. Can't ask for more.

Actually, I got to agree with you there. And you can be pretty much assured that he will fight someone meaningful.

              Right there.

People can say Khan is dumb, arrogant, annoying, clueless, a prick, or whatever they want (and they're probably right), but they can't deny that he's always in an entertaining fight. You just never know what's going to happen when he's in the ring. :woot2:

He makes for an exciting fight, every time because you don't know what can happen. His chin might stay up or crack, who knows. His power might show up or might not. Just stay tuned.
