It is 100% because of sanctioning fees, nothing else. This match is only being sanctioned by the WBC as a title fight. That means both fighters only pay the WBC 3% of their purses instead of 9% to all 3 sanctioning bodies. Someone said it is 9 million to 3.5, so that's 12.5 million. 3% of 12.5 million = 375,000. 9% would be 1,125,000, or three times as much. It is completely economic.
If Judah loses, which isn't happening, he won't be considered the champ by anybody really.Comment

Another issue is that assuming Floyd wins a reasonably competitive bout (ie not Mayweather-Gatti part II), Judah can use the other two titles as hook to secure a reasonable purse share in the rematch though obviously he would get less than he gotthe first time aroundComment
