It does matter. If you put a top fighter who knows how to box, he'd outbox Matthysse.

      Like who?
Ajose couldn't, Soto couldn't or Alexander.

Can't see anybody at 140 beating Lucas myself.

For some reason I never thought this fight was going to push through.

Mike Dallas is an even easier fight.

Fail to see how tbh but I have too recall how overrated Lundy was on here prior to Beltran beating him up.
I don't see what he really does any better than Dallas Jr.

I should've been more specific. I was referring to any B or C-level fighter that's gonna be put in the ring to help build Matthysse up. Anyone of them is getting their ass whupped lol. Let's look at the Ring top 10 right now and see how many will out-box Matthysse.

              -Garcia
              -Khan
              -Judah
              -Marquez
              -Rios
              -Allakhverdiev
              -Alvarado
              -Shafikov
              -Cuenca
              -Provodnikov

Judah was mostly successful against Lucas, but he didn't completely outbox him either and the fight was close. I also believe that Lucas has improved a bit since then. Rios/Allakhverdiev/Provodnikov/Alvarado like to ****, therefore playing right into Matthysse's style. Khan has the attributes, but has shown to get off the "stick and move" game-plan and gets very irresponsible both offensively and defensively. His suspect chin/punch resistance is another issue. Garcia is a "counter-****er", so he will definitely be getting into exchanges against Matthysse. Marquez is a counter-puncher that can get lured into fights as well. Let's not mention that he's past-prime and his face can't seem to withstand punishment anymore, and Lucas isn't lacking in the power department. Haven't seen enough of Cuenca (or Shafikov for that matter), but judging by his record, it's clear that he'll be looking to box his way to a victory.

Mike Dallas isn't too bad, it's a solid little stay busy fight for Matthysse. I'd like to see Matthysse fight Garcia obviously. If not him, I'd like Khabib, Mayfield, or Herrera as well.

I think you'd have to say Marquez would likely outbox him but Judah failed, he lost that fight. I say that as a Judah fan.
