I remember when that duck parade was going on in 2008.

Calzaghe was ducking Pavlik, and Pavlik was ducking Abraham. Pavlik then picked Hopkins, which at the time was seen as a cherrypick on Pavlik's part. Little did he know he could had an easier time with Pavlik than he did with Hopkins.

Calzaghe ducked everybody though, Dawson, Johnson, Froch, Pavlik, Hopkins rematch. Everybody wanted him but he picked a shot Roy Jones.

I'm talking about the ducking that happened between several fighters at 160-175 in 2008 and YOU single out Calzaghe. It is a known a fact that Calzaghe turned down Dawson, Johnson, Froch, Pavlik and a rematch with Hopkins to face Jones.

I do not care about Calzaghe, I don't either hate him or like him, I don't talk about him. Actually, I might go 1,000 posts before even mentioning Joe Calzaghe. There's nothing about Calzaghe or his wins that make me bitter.

Abraham vs Pavlik was the best Middleweight fight that could happen in 2008. People forget sh-t easily around here, but fans were craving for that fight and Pavlik/Arum went the Hopkins route.

Not necessarly so, we know styles make fights. Pavlik really did have trouble working out Hopkins defensive technique.

Calzaghe did avoid a lot of fights but he also beat some very good (great even) fighters too and that shouldn't be overlooked.

Funny how things have moved on and that fights become kind of relevant again.

Be interesting, I'd like to see Abraham win that.

Read a Pavlik interview lately, he's on the booze and making excuses for his losses. Gone off him.

**** the Stigletz rematch, just fight Pavlik. It's a good fight for both men, they both have solid chances of winning, unlike Pavlik-Ward.

What are you talking about, were you even around in October 2008 and before that? I guess not, you were not seeing the amount of fans and trainers asking for B-Hop to retire after the Calzaghe fights. Everyone was saying he's going to get killed.

Just cause Hopkins ended up taking Pavlik's soul, doesn't mean that coming in to the fight, Hopkins was some beast. Hopkins was underdog and actually the majority of the predictions were that Pavlik was going to UD or KO Hopkins.

This fight is long overdue...Me personally, I wouldnt mind watching given on where they are in their careers.
