    That was the AMS...and that's exactly where Gman would go wrong. Charging at Roy would get you whalloped, and take away the good timing that Gman has. When he did that in the AMS he still barely won and was quite sore...in the pros stamina comes into play more and Gman would NOT find Roy as well as he did in the AMS as Roy was more defense and smarts in the pros than in the AMS.

      Gerald and Roy Jones often sparred in the gym and, according to Michael Moorer, Gerald would almost always have him pressed against the ropes and would be getting the better of him. When they sparred it was usually a war and, one time, Gerald couldn't eat for two days after.

        That's true. But Roy got taken to the ropes and bullied by a lot of guys in sparring, including Iceman John Scully.

        I don't think you'd pick Scully to beat Roy in a fight...

        Mayweather got schooled by Spadafora in sparring as well.
