Which is more popular: boxing or American football?

I don't know how this American ( so-called ) football is played , seriously

I have never watched a single match of this sport in my life

I don't even know why it is called football with players holding the ball with hands !

In America, Football (American) might as well be the only sport in terms of popularity. Worldwide boxing is more popular as is soccer, just be lucky there is only one country that has (Americanized) football. The tailgate mentality, the cheerleaders, the revenue, fantasy football... it would invade native sports like a predatory fish introduced into a lake and rapidly take over everything that was there before.

Boxing is a much more accurate depiction of one's skillset in a sport than football, it's just one on one. Punches only, no need to worry about an armbar or leg sweep...simple and sweet yet so complex.
