I Don't like this use of IV's. It cannot be healthy for fighters to drain themselves so much that they need to use a hospitalmethod to come through.Comment

IF it is true then i can't help but think this is all kellys and jacks fault.
i mean seriously to go in the ring when you've been down with a bug and only sparred three time is downright ******. heck he deserves a loss for that fight. if that was any smart fighter he would have pulled out of the fight with hopkins and re-scheduled it a month before the bout was to take place.
as for the martinez fight he shouldn't be using an IV - plain and simple. i remember someone asking ward about how long he would stay at 12stone(168lbs) and he turned around and said 'as long as i can make the weight naturally and be healthy - i don't wanna be using no IV drips'. personally i hate the concept of fighters dehydrating themselves so much that they need an IV drip, it can't be good for you physically or mentally.Comment

Aside of me believes Kelly. However, I wonder how much weight he had to drain for the Sergio fight was due to booze? What I mean, is that Sergio was so much smaller and relatively unknown, that I wonder if if Kelly took him too lightly and hit the bottle more?
The Hopkins fight... as a trainer/manager, if your fighter is THAT ill prepared for a fight with a legend like Hopkins, at what point do you step in and say no? For a fighter, being that ill prepared, when do you step up and say no?
Excuses that simply don't fly.Comment

pavlik isnt even that big a puncher so if you are counting on a one punch KO dont hold your breath. his pressure breaks fighters down more than his power, but his pressure is easy to negate if you have good footwork and a jab.
pavlik is incredibly basic, ward will figure him out with ease and pick him apart. kelly doesnt bring anything to the table to trouble ward.
he does have good defense, great defense in fact. hes no mayweather but who is? mayweathers defense is significantly better than anyone elses in the sport, ward still has some of the best defense in boxing though. more than good enough to shut down pavliks slow, plodding, one dimensional attack.Comment

Martinez and B.Hop beats Pavlik anytime...he's just not good enough to beat them imo...nothing really to be ashamed of imo...they're 2 of the best in the game atm

how about analyzing the things you did wrong INSIDE the right that lost you those fights? By making excuses it won't allow him or anyone else to grow as a fighter. Accept defeat, learn from it and improve. Otherwise stay the same and continue to lose to higher quality opponents.Comment
