I think Matthysse's power is actually overrated on this site. The two best fighters he fought in Judah and Alexander, he didn't KO them and the decisions were not robberies, they could have gone either way. We'll see just how good he is in the near future.

Matthysse knew he had to KO Alexander and Judah to get the win, and he couldn't. Both decisions are exactly the type of close decisions we're accustomed to, no robberies at all. Certainly, the Alexander fight, was not a robbery.

Matthysse is not a great boxer, and he is very unlikely to become one. The problem with you guys is, you don't actually like boxing. You like brawling. Losing by KO or decision is still LOSING. I really don't understand why users such as Earl Hickey watch boxing at all, MMA was created for people like him.

Also, " I requested the fight." Yea, that sounds like he reeeeaaally wants that fight. What a resounding demand.
That's how I see it but yet am called a hater. Matthysse has some skill but mostly relies on his power and once that is not a factor he cannot close the show against guys who are tougher than who he can dominate. If he was really that good as people overrate as then he would have stopped Zab because Zab is done and when the going gets tough he gives up and he didn't in the Matthysse fight. In my opinion I put Matthysse in the "Luis Collazo" category. He has something but just not enough. If he proves me wrong then I'll gladly admit it but Danny Garcia would be the favorite going into that fight. That's why I really want this fight to happen so it can settle any disputes and arguments on boxingscene.

Oh man.... This line is the killer of all killers. He was getting battered by Khan before he landed that lucky punch. We hear the same thing about Marquez. Fact is them dudes lost. Khan got KO'd in the 4th and Pac in the 6th. They were both obliterated. Fighters get theirs off in a fight but the idea is to win and Garcia won.

I thought he blew those fights too but now it seems like he's learned and improved on how to win fights within his style. Maybe not one punch power but he can change the fight quickly; with the added workrate/volume and pressure to the body he's increased his tko potential because he's always been pretty accurate when he does throws. he's fighting at a pace now that is not only tough on his opponents but will also win him close rounds even if the guy is fighting back, he's not sitting there doing sparse work like in his losses. that's how it appears up until now during this run, but i agree well really find out in whatever big type of fight (or style clash) he gets

Khan fights in April and November, if this fight doesn't happen it's got nothing to do with khan. There's a long time between feb 9th and November for the Garcia v Lucas fight to happen

people are still pretending that judah and alexander beat matthyse? the alexander fight was obviously not close but the judah fight lucas clearly won rounds 3,6,9-12. no possible way to give them to zab. that's 6 rounds right there and a knockdown. a couple other rounds could easily go to lucas as well. a clear win. stop lying.
