Whats the only thing that would even change in his favor, he would have some weight on hopkins on fight night and that is it.

hopkins mowed over those guys because he outsized, outstrengthed echols, allen, etc...the better middleweights he fought that sized up with him, he lost (jones, taylor 2x)...pavlik at his best weight, which is 160, imo, had good boxing skills, numbing power, and proved that you can hit him all night, but if he can get his shot in, goodnight...imo, pavlik, made a great account of himself @ 160 against taylor and martinez, so i give him a better chance of at least being competitive with prime hopkins @ 160....

Have you even seen those fights? He didnt outsize them, hopkins was on the smaller size at middleweight himself. He weighed in at 156 for Oscar without being weight drained. Go look at all of his weigh in weights and how how many times he came in a few pounds under 160 which is an indication he was not even an average sized middleweight. He easily outboxed them and outlanded them. Watch when they get into exchanges he comes out on top of them every time because the difference in skill was huge just as the difference in skill between hopkins and pavlik was huge.

Hopkins lost to taylor because of slow work rate. He started way to late in the fight because he was more conservative when he reached 40 to keep a good stamina in the late rounds. He kicked the **** out of taylor in the late rounds and had no problem with his size.

Taylor won a lot of the slow rounds because he has a good jab, he is a far better boxer on the outside than pavlik was and that is why he has a medal and pavlik doesnt.

Hopkins would absolutely school Pavlik and make Pavlik look amateurish. Hopkins is one of the greatest boxers of all-time and knows every trick in the book and always seeks out the win.
