Lmao! Cmon now. We saw a prime pavlik vs a 43 year old Hopkins. Only thing that would be different is Hopkins would have won by KO.

Do any of you idiots realize a 43 year old Bernard Hopkins took "PRIME" Kelly Pavlik's soul?

What else would be Pavlik's prime? He just came off of a string of TKO/KO wins against Zertuche, Miranda, Taylor[and one by UD which I thought Taylor won], and Lockett.

Hopkins was the one who looked on the decline with his performance against Calzaghe. Every body though Pavlik was going to "kill" the poor old man, Roach was asking for Hopkins to retire before he gets seriously hurt.

You don't want a prime Hopkins against a prime Pavlik, trust me. If you care about Pavlik's health, you don't want that fight.

The fact BHOP humiliated him at an older past his prime and considering Pavlik was in his prime during their fight. A prime middleweight Bernard would win by late KO/TKO

prime pavlik vs. the 160 lb hopkins that was fighting allen, echols, etc. is a better fight for pavlik, due to hopkins being more of a come foward fighter...

Hopkins was way past his prime when he beat the living day lights out of Pavlik..what do you think would of happened to Pavlik if B-hop was in his prime?..basically and even bigger beat down.

i don't think its that cut and dry...first off, i wouldn't base it off that first fight in this case.... hopkins was a lightheavy, and brought pavlik up from 160 to 170...all hopkins had to do was box, and don't take no chances...easy work...@ 160, its pavliks's best weight, and prime hopkins was more of a come forward, aggressive philly style fighter who got hit a little bit more than the post-trinidad hopkins that most people associate him with today...not taking anything away from hopkins performance, but pavlik was stuck in the mud imo...i think its a different fight altogether...

Yeah lets get a younger hopkins with a higher work rate, that will change the outcome. GO watch hopkins from the echols fight and his work rate. Any version of pavlik gets busted up, pavlik has NO defense.

Whats the only thing that would even change in his favor, he would have some weight on hopkins on fight night and that is it.

Yep that was his prime, he just beat taylor which is what made him big in the first place. After the hopkins domination it was all down hill from there. That WAS prime pavlik, coming off his biggest win of his career.

Oh he had to fight at 160 and didnt have a size advantage he is used to having. Boo hoo, he also didnt have to cut as much water and he fought a 43 year old, so he got a pretty good deal in the matchup IMO.
