Now we know what happens when you get a guy who is Irish and Mexican. I swear I wouldn't enter negotiations for a fight with Canelo unless it happened then and there. This guy is the opposite of the leprechaun for his possible future opponents. He was meant to fight 3 credible opponents in the past 12 months. However, 1 of them will never walk again, another lost to a replacement fighter who was going up in weight and the other (who previously lost a competitive fight with the P4P #1) lost to a guy who shares a name with a fuxking fish!

I understand some of you folks clearly do not like mayweather, but posts like these are simply ridiculous yet comical. So the marquee name in boxing today (along w/ Pacquiao) in terms of ppv #'s / revenue is "riding the coattails" of an up & coming fighter who has yet to headline his own ppv card...You cant be serious. Trust whoever canelo fights in may will be the UNDERCARD to the mayweather v guerrero MAIN event...Nor will you see any 24/7 episodes featuring alvarez until he gets his shot in september provided he remains unbeaten in the interim. All this talk of "ducking" in nonsense. If mayweather does indeed fight twice in 2013, his options for finding a viable name who will generate interest are rather limitied. It was no surprise he would possibly defend the welterweight title against the winner of guerrero/berto. Just like its obvious the he'll defend his jr mid strap against canelo later next yr. So relax kids.

yeah maybe officially but unofficially everyone will tune in to see canelo. i bet most of the crowd leaves before mayweather even fights and canelos fight will be broadcast first so the people on the east coast can catch it before falling asleep.

Canelo is not going to fight trout period. He should fight trout to prove what hes worth but it wont happen. If it does than i would give canelo mad props, but for now canelo is still a hype job.
