I'm afraid to say it but if Canelo vs Trout happens, that fight would actually be worthy of a main event not an undercard. Mayweather vs Guerrero would actually look like the undercard fight from the two. Actually Canelo vs Cotto to Trout are both main event fights. I think Canelo vs Kirkland or Angulo are both undercard fights.

I totally agree !!! I'm tired of Floyd using Canelo to sell more ppvs. Canelo doesn't deserve any more undercard slots. Floyd used Canelo for Cotto card, for ortiz card, n for mosley card. It's obvious that if Canelo is not on the card, Floyd Guerrero will do a low 1 mil ppv buys. But with Canelo he's guaranteed to do at least 1.2+. If Canelo doesn't get the Floyd fight, then Canelo should just fight in April with his own event, especially if its Trout

I agree. If Canelo is going to fight someone other than Floyd on May 4th, I don't think it'll be against Trout.

I think Canelo is leaning towards trout and will beat him if they meet. Trout is a slick crafty boxer but he doesn't have the guns to keep Canelo off him. Canelo by 9rd ko.

Its a 2 way street. Sure, Floyd picks up some hispanic ppv buys, but on the flip side Canelo gets valuable exposure to all the casual fans who only buy the big ppv's.......

GBP will try very hard to block a Trout-Canelo fight. If canelo wants that fight he is going to have to really demand it and make a big scene. Saying it would be nice to get that fight isnt going to be enough.

If anyone remembers Chavez Jr to his credit had to do a tremendous amount of pressuring of Arum to finally get his Martinez fight. Arum did not want that fight to happen at all and we all know why. Arum even tried forcing Chavez to sign a contract extension in order to get that fight.

Jr gets respect because he demanded the fight and threatened to leave Arum if he didn't give him Martinez.
