unified champs Spinks, Mayorga, and Judah weren't gonna fight him
he had to get his by beating the lesser known contenders at WW
no one said these guys were the cream of the crop
they were just ranked guys Tony wrecked en route to bigger things

This. You can pretty much close the books on this one. I thought the same thing, too. Since Tony had the reputation of being the most avoided fighter, wouldn't it be hard to get fights?

Marg had at least 5 years of experience on Martinez... :|... Serg didnt step into a gym til he was 20 or so if I'm not mistaken... Marg was a pro while Martinez was out biking and getting his s hit stolen lol.

Marg also had trouble landing big fights and he lost to P Will...beat cotto (controversy here)...cheated, then ran into a legit older dude and got KTFO. He went to the big game and choked. Sort of

What has Margarito accomplished at ww? Who did he beat? He really didn't beat Clottey as Clottey lumped him up and lost a pathetic decision. Margarito lost to P Willy and Shane. He beat glass jaw 6 heads, and who else? He used plaster to beat Cotto in fight 1. FOH!
