Nothing wrong with the Oscar win, he moved up 2 weight classes and soundly battered the guy, it was supposed to be a cherrypick on Oscar's part if you remember correctly.

If Oscar didn't prepare properly its his own fault, its like taking credit from Roy Jones because Toney supposedly had weight issues.

nobody knew he'd be so weak in the fight
he looked fine at 150 vs Forbes just prior to that
people didn't think taking off the next 3 lbs was gonna be a problem

No one thought that would happen, Pac took on what was supposed to be a huge challenge and excelled regardless of circumstance beyond his control he stepped up to the plate, I give him 100% credit for the win.

Honestly Dead, I think there is a little Tyson/Don King bull-ish going on behind the scenes with Michael Koncz and Bob Arum.

When Manny wanted accounting of his funds and got Vision Qwest involved, Michael Koncz and Arum went batshyte crazy and started threatening lawsuits against Vision Qwest. Vision Qwest then sued Manny for 2 million.... Never heard how that ended up.

But, after Manny got Vision involved, he learned for a fact he was supposed to be getting paid additional money on the back end of things like fight replays and such.

So I guess in the long run Manny found out something about his finances.

iirc they were suing him for services rendered, and it was notably less than two million.

You are only as good as what you beat , you ever hear that saying ? his win is ok in name value only because Oscar for all intents was a sick man , again not Mannys fault , in reality its really a no contest but the rules dont count for things like this , its a win in the books , but it dont mean anything other than Oscar screwed up .

Oscar look crap with Forbes , the real Oscar would destroy Forbes , they just lucky they didnt bring a real one that night Oscar would never had got to fight Manny if they did .

As far as taking of the next 3 pounds that ended up 5 he must have been on the edge at 150 to screw his system like that , he wouldnt have known until the night before the weighin that he was in big trouble , you dont get to practice the weigh-in its one shot , geez Oscar had not been that light in a fight since is LW days in 95 .
