Intelligent retort. I swear, the general IQ of this forum has plummeted since the Marquez win and it's hit some harder than others.

Manny running to a punch even from the best puncher in 135lb division would have wobbled him, Knock him down at best, given an 8 count. Not knock him out cold, especially by a guy whose best wt is 135lbs.

Marquez got nothing going on that fight (except for PEDs punchig power), he was figured out in the third fight, Marquez wasn't coasting the 12 rd of the third fight, he was being cautious because he was figured out. That is why Manny wants 4th fight asap.

Marquez desperate resorted to more PEDs for KO power.

Even if it is true, it is fair, it is called leveling the field.

if the playing field was level, Marquez would have not made it out of the 5th round.

If it was always leveled, pacquiao would have been knocked out since the very first fight lol.

Manny was Boxing well on the outside until the KD in Round 3. This is when the fight changed; instead of trying to outbox Marquez he let his pride and bravado get to him, he went after Marquez vying to get the KO opening himself up in the fifth round all up until the KO.

A lot also has to do also with Pacquiao's deterioration, the way he went down from the overhand right in the third round he was shocked. Pacquiao's footwork and movement was much faster in their second meeting. When you fought a man over 36 Rounds you better damn well know everything about him.

Here's the GIF I made about the exact same movement from Pacquiao in Round 2. Marquez read this and made adjustments according to the circumstances by timing the punch perfectly in Round 6. Pacquiao should have taken the same right earlier in the fifth round as a warning but like always when he smells blood that 'killer instinct' kicks in naturally. This is Boxing.

                  Marquez adjusted brilliantly.
great gif. no lucky shot indeed

Of course, after round 1, that is as close as Pac will ever get to stop Márquez... or should I say, defeat Márquez?.
