Manny running to a punch even from the best puncher in 135lb division would have wobbled him, Knock him down at best, given an 8 count. Not knock him out cold, especially by a guy whose best wt is 135lbs.

Manny was Boxing well on the outside until the KD in Round 3. This is when the fight changed; instead of trying to outbox Marquez he let his pride and bravado get to him, he went after Marquez vying to get the KO opening himself up in the fifth round all up until the KO.

A lot also has to do also with Pacquiao's deterioration, the way he went down from the overhand right in the third round he was shocked. Pacquiao's footwork and movement was much faster in their second meeting. When you fought a man over 36 Rounds you better damn well know everything about him.

I digress even if Marquez was on PED's or not it was his skill and grit that won him the fight.

Here's the GIF I made about the exact same movement from Pacquiao in Round 2. Marquez read this and made adjustments according to the circumstances by timing the punch perfectly in Round 6. Pacquiao should have taken the same right earlier in the fifth round as a warning but like always when he smells blood that 'killer instinct' kicks in naturally. This is Boxing.
