Golovkin definitely did struggle against Ouma, don't know how you can ignore the first 6-7 rounds, it wasn't until then he took over in the later rounds. And that was against a 34 year old blown up JMW (way past his prime) fighting at MW.

I honestly think a few years ago Ouma would've beaten him by UD. I was unimpressed by GGG's piss poor defense in that fight but I was impressed with his ridiculous cardio and chin, he just wouldn't stop throwing power shots.

Oh yea? Well you have a small rooster and Catfish got KTFO, maybe next time he will wear 50 more rosaries and pray more instead of training.

Didn't Ouma basically beat Vanes just prior to the GGG fight? Acting like he's some bum.

Anyways, Ouma was stopped by GGG. It doesn't matter if he was boxing good for the first half of the fight. The power of GGG was too much for him and he was sent to the hospital. I love these types of threads, "oh if so and so didn't have so much power they would suck". Well, GGG does have power and that's part of his game.

Golovkin did struggle with Ouma and you can't ignore that.

On the flipside, he absolutely was not nearly beaten.

I think even Golovkin admitted it was not his best performance. Hopefully he learned from it. At least it looks like he has a bit so far, but we'll learn more once the competition gets tougher. I do think he is avoided though.

boxers will always give come forward fighters problems. It's how they handle the boxer in the end what counts and the end result was a TKO.

                    Not always.

But agreed. He got the job done and good fashion in the end but I don't think the fact he struggled with him should be ignored.

But, he is learning. Every fighter hit's learning curves sometimes against weaker opponents than expected.
