  • Cases of Fighters Rehydrating To Much Heavier Weights

What are some of the biggest increases fighters have put on since a weigh in? I know Chavez jnr. puts on lots of weight, but, as far as I know, he doesn't let broadcasters know his ring weight.

Yes he does, he rehydrated 21 pounds against Rubio i think

Thats the most i've ever heard. I've also heard Clottey once came in at 170 for a WW fight but i think thats just a rumor

Gamboa in his most recent fight. He rehydrated from 130lbs to 148 lbs, 18lbs. Proportionately, that's more than Chavez!

James Toney went from 168 to 187 against Roy Jones Jr. Victor Ortiz weighed 164 against Mayweather. I'm pretty sure Kelly Pavlik and Jermaine Taylor put on a lot of weight after the weigh in.
