I want to learn as a sport, not a professional . I'm livin on Russia, but now at Turkiye for the next few mounths. Visited 2 salon been in the city. I dont like the salon I went to first it was so mmmm negleced ??? ruin ! and second salon was nice but I said them I will give a decision wthin a few days. As I said at first I wantto do it as a hobby, not professional. Idont think it is a strange request, everyone able to protect self. why do you think this sport isnt suitable for women ?

Don't listen to them, there are several great female boxers like Leila Ali and Ann Wolfe. Ann could probably knock out most guys who post here.

I decided, will start tomarrow inshallah. A friend said tell us how much is the price of lessons, it is not expensive, 3 days in a week and monthly 80 TL, so 45 usa dollar for 12-13 lesson. Other than that they told me to buy boxing gloves, I dont know how much price is boxing gloves. The coach is someone who have regional degrees.

Before you start make sure the coaches really care about their fighters and all the sparring sessions are supervised. Some coaches don't care and let newbies get beat up by more experienced boxers, they don't give any advice and just want the money.

Boxing gloves aren't very expensive, go to your local sport store and you could find some nice gloves at a good price.

Tomarrow after school I will go to buy gloves to store. Have ever seen a sport shop , I remember there were gloves in this store.

And just to add, i think women's boxing is awesome. i love watching Leila Ali beat the crap out of her opponents! Women really go at it, most moreso than their male counterparts, who start slowly by "feeling each other out".

A lot of guys bore me to the point i don't want to watch, but i have yet to see a womens match that bored me.

Women just go into the 1st round very aggressively, (but not recklessly,) some have great defense and other attributes needed to make a great boxer. I know i am in the minority who like women boxing, but it's almost 2013!

Why exclude women from anything? Equal rights, equal pay...etc.

Hi,

I learned my lesson today for the first on boxing. It was funny. Mostly given theoretical knowledge about boxing, was the only girl on the lesson. Currently came back home. 'm nauseous and dizziness. I ate a banana after workout and drunk juice but still is turning, 'll a bit lie down.
