Well I think Hershman stated he wouldn't want to do a round robin style tournament again. It would be a single round elimination. This way it could be done all within a year, easy.

But despite the setbacks of the original super six there is no doubt it was successful in launching guys careers into the spot light. Where would Froch, Ward & Kessler really be w/o the super six? Who knows.

Very true, things could've panned out a bit different for these guys huh?

To me it seems like the whole division is put on hold for anyone else trying to make it while the same class is 'in tournament'... just me though..

yeah, but that's mainly because the round robin took two damn years or whatever. In the future it would be a single round elimination and wouldn't take long at all.

Plus, if we use middleweight for example, it's not like the two biggest stars are fighting anyone else anyways (chavez/martinez) so why not get all these other guys fighting eachother and making names for themselves so that boxing fans can be excited about them?

I am not big on the 6 person boxing tournament, it just takes to long with the round robin and too much changes quickly in boxing.

If they were going to do a 6 person rate them 1-6 give the top two byes then have 3-6 fight then just have it go straight to the semifinal.

im with gamby on this one.. the super 6 had too much drama in it and the waiting time for the end result was just too long ..plus fighters getting replaced or backing out due to injury did'nt help live up to it's hype either..
