Then why was Martinez bloodied, battered and undertaking major surgery after the fight? Chavez won the fight 10-1-1 on my scorecard and that's not including Tony Week's disgracefully long count, Martinez was out, or his failure to stop the fight when Martinez was taking a huge beating on the ropes.
