I am going to be honest, I don't know much about John Scully other than the fact he was a professional boxer. In my opinion, this website is very fortunate to have a real boxer, coming on here and talking with us. You know what he says is coming from expert eyes because he has not only watched boxing, but he has lived boxing.

Jones does and did have skills. That's why he beat Toney. Jones' skills were superior to Toney's. Physical prowess is a form of skill, too. You can't take anything away from Jones just because Toney has more "textbook" qualities. Jones would always beat a slow footed guy like Toney who looks good againt brawlers.

I would say Jones and Toney are equal in skills. The reason Roy beat and would still beat James is because of style. Roy's style beats Toneys. But they are both great fighters...future Hall of famers no doubt.

You are bound to encounter that kind of stuff, simply because it's the internet. The internet gives anyone, real fan or not, the freedom to look for specific information and then try to show how knowledgeable they are. The only way to know who knows and who doesn't is discussing boxing in person.
