And Dana White claims he makes the fights that people want to see and what is the best fight. Yet he just claimed he wouldn't put his cash cow in danger for what the fans want. Dude, is the exact same type of promoter Arum is.

Exactly! He embarrassed himself with these comments. I think he's just mad that he put money in Arum's pockets by buying the ppv. I don't think Arum has ever purchased a UFC ppv.

I hate Arum more then most but even I have to say Manny vs JMM was a much better choice then Pac vs Bradley!!

If you watch bobs interview after the fight you can see he wanted Manny to win and was still in shock but that didn't stop the greedy old prick from chasing a 5th fight!!

rule #2. make the cash cow's opponent appear to be credible.

a big reason JMM got the fight with Pac over Bradley is because the JMM-Pac match up sold more on PPV than Pacquiao-Bradley

UFC President Dana White has lashed out at Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum, over the making the fourth fight between Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez. White, who admits he bet money on Marquez, told 5th Round that Pacquiao's career was placed in jeopardy by putting him back in the ring with the opponent who gave him the most trouble.

If it was White's decision, he would have matched Pacquiao with Timothy Bradley, who won a controversial decision over the Filipino star in June. He predicts Pacquiao would have knocked Bradley out and then placed himself in position for Floyd Mayweather Jr. or another major fight.

What was Arum thinking ?

I like the fact that Pacquiao was willing to fight Marquez again, I think he pretty much felt obligated to..... I just cannot understand why Arum thought it was a good idea?

Manny has not looked great in his last 4 fights, he lost to Marquez last November, and he took an L against Bradley..... so in order to raise his stocks for Mayweather, Pac fought Marquez again? WTF?

That was never going to be a good idea.

It was obvious leading up to the 3rd fight that Team Pacquiao thought they were setting up a lightweight who had already proven that he was fat and slow at welter..... you can tell by their comments, and by that ridiculous catch-weight.

So when they were proven wrong last November, they should have realised that Marquez was still live, and therefore off-limits.

And now they wanna do it again ?

Personally, I dont think that Manny has ever shown much interest in fighting Marquez until after Arum told him that JMM was next up to bat..... I cant believe he wants another crack.

Manny will go from being known as the one that could have beaten Mayweather, to being known as the one that couldnt beat Marquez.

He is so to blame, and so is Pacquiao. They are both well-aware that Arum has been steering the Manny-ship away from Mayweather...... and in doing so, he ***ed the super-fight, just like he did with Lopez/Gamboa.

He is a greedy old **** who has sacrificed those fights, and the careers of his fighters, in order to line his own pockets.

White knows more about promoting than you do.

Did you see the look on Arum's face when Pacquiao got knocked out? He had the look of a guy who just lost his cash cow, and also Arum had to psyche himself and hide with a poker face at the bar after the fight he was getting buzzed on vodka, acting like he was happy with the outcome when he really knew he pushed his luck.

I know Marquez would KO Manny, you never put a fighter who has another fighters style nightmare against your guy, Arum's logic was that JMM has no power and that the fight would go to the cards and PAc would get the decision.

Dana White is 100 percent right, Pacquiao should have been put in with Bradley, but the ppv numbers were low and Arum is a greedy bastard, and knew Pac Marquez drew over a million buys, but ARum didn't know that the Bradley rematch would have broke a million buys, because the robbery had people talking so people would have ordered the rematch.

Arum already destroyed the Juan Ma vs Gamboa fight, and the Pacquiao Maywather fight, and is the Donaire vs. Mares fight next?
