****** thing to say since you have no way of knowing that. If Donaire was bigger he would automatically be more popular since the higher weight classes are more closely followed. If for example donaire had the body of a welterweight he wouldn't be fighting Arce, Nishioka, etc., he would be fighting guys like Berto, Bradley, etc. etc. etc. But again this is some weird point to make since it's impossible to know.Dude, don't be ******. You know exactly what I mean. The guy can go up to 147 pounds and still not headline a PPV. You know the tone i'm using "Donaire can go up to 140" in. There's no need to get technical, you are smarter than that.
I can say Donaire can go up to 154 and still not a PPV attraction, you know exactly what I mean. Don't act ******, but if you're not acting, then i'll let you slide.
What is known is the smaller weight classes historically are not that popular, and that is proven by the fact HBO has never had a PPV headlined by a 122 pounder or smaller.Comment

.you said that you're not hating in the guy but all that I see is plain hate if not how you explain this..I take a look at boxing records and no fighter had better 11 first opposition than Rigo...look the ones that your idol fought:Again, Nioshika was #1 in the division.
Donaire would be favored easily against Mares or Rigo.
And how can Rigo be considered a step up when his best opponent to date is Ramos? So you rank Rigo so highly based on what, all of the top opposition he's faced? Double standards.
Of course Canelo could fight Victor Ortiz and it would be a massive step up for him considering he's fought no one of note yet despite being a pro for 7 years.

I would say Rigondeaux or Mares most certainly deserve a shot next.
As for Vazquez remember that was Donaires first fight in the division. Most of the time when a guy moves up in weight you don't automatically fight the #1 guy in the division. For example when Floyd moved from 140 to 147 he fought Sharmba Mitchell. When Pac moved from 130 to 135 he fought Diaz.Comment

Who'd Vazquez and Arce beaten at 122, or Mathebula????
Vazquez had never beaten a Top 10 SBW, Arce had only beaten Vazquez, Mathebula had beaten Ndlovu and had an arguable close fight with Caballero.
Rigondeaux has beaten Cordoba and Ramos, both were top 10 at the time. He's every bit as deserving as anyone Donaire has fought lately.Comment

And how would you know this gayboy?? If donaire was actually bigger he would be a bigger star right now. People just don't pay that much attention to anything lower than 126.Let me put it like this for Top Rank ****** Boy, and Natas the TR attorney.
140-154 is where all the big names are. Donaire can go up there and still not be considered for an HBO PPV headline. Not that he can go up there next year, or should be up there. Calling me dumb. Lol.Last edited by TRTboy; 12-16-2012, 04:11 PM.Comment

Mares deserves the shot at Donaire so much more than Rigo its not even close. Because Bob doesnt want to co-promote we will see Rigo Donaire 1st.I would say Rigondeaux or Mares most certainly deserve a shot next. See, this is how I know you're just being emotional and being a die hard Cuban fan by making little cute comments like this. Donaire ain't my favorite fighter by a long shot (see avatar). I'm a huge fan of Cuban fighters in general, Gamboa, Rigondeaux, Lara, etc. I was rocking a Rigondeaux avatar when he first defected from Cuba and before he even had his first pro fight. I was rocking animated gifs of Rigondeaux KO's that I personally made after each of his KO victories early in his career (beautiful body shots).
So keep that nonsense about being a fan or a fighter being someones idol out of this discussion.
And this means what? Very little. Quite obviously with Rigondeaux becoming pro at a late age he needed to speed things up in a hurry. Winning a title in his 7th fight was amazing. Again, I love Rigondeaux. He's awesome.Jose lazaro 1-3-1

Yes and he and Donaire will fight next year. Why do think Rigo was supposed to be on the undercard last night? My friend I don't wanna sound like a fan boy..just records...And over that he is the undefeated WBA champion of the world..he floored every single of his opponents..and he is maybe the best amateur boxer of all times with more than 400 wins with nearly 200 kos ..two times Olympic gold medallist..doesn't get better than this my friend..Comment
