That was on hbo's unofficial scale. It's funny you got a problem with Donaire fighting "smaller guys" and rep Canelo in your sig.

I believe Nonitos left is the most powerful in the lower weight classes, his right also has power. That being said, Rigo and Gamboa fight can easily be made. It'll probably happen next year. I doubt the Mares fight will happen though.

I prefer mares over rigo...a rigo fight would be boring as hell

Has to be Rigo and Mares next year for Nonito, otherwise he has to get his ass up to featherweight where he might meet an opponent who'll exchange with him. Everyone's in survival mode at 122. I like Rigo and Mares but I don't think even they can take his shots to be honest. The Rigo fight won't excite the wider public but he's a legit opponent and Donaire's going to have ducking accusations thrown at him if he moves up with unfinished business at sbw.

Difference is i dont consider canelo a p4p fighter or he is on anyones list as p4p fighter. When he was coming up it didnt matter now as a champion he should face serious opponents. Is not his fault for the ortiz fight falling or williams accident or hes fault that kirkland is a big ***** that dont want to face him. He has to face either cotto or trout and better opponents from there on. Name me any legit opponents donaire has faced in his last 5 fights that you could really say wow they have shot??? Maybe montiel that is it everyone else was there for a paychek it dont take a blind man to see that.

Im not saying donaire sucks he has great power but his opponents are buns considereing he is a p4p fighter.

He went up in weight, captured 3 belts back to back to back, all against legit top 10 opponents. 1 year earlier he went up in weight and beat the number 1 ranked guy. Who else has done that in the past 2 years? He should fight Mares, but he doesn't have the ability to make that fight happen. Plus both Mares and Rigo would be significant underdogs, I wonder if there's a way for him to get any credit from you below 122 if he has to beat the odds.

Props for not overrating Canelo, unfortunately you'll find him creeping into some p4p lists, and you better believe he's only 1 credible smaller guy (Cotto, Guerrero) away from getting into mainstream p4p ratings. Even divisionally he's #2 (1 if Floyd goes back to welter), which is a farce.
